Mangalore : The Mangalore Police Commissionerate urged the Central Bureau of Investigation through the state’s Criminal Investigation Department to issue a Red Corner Notice against noted criminal Rasheed Malbari, an associate of underworld don Chota Shakeel.

According to City police Commissioner R Hithendra, after being released from the Bangalore prison on July 21, 2014 said to have gone underground upon granting of conditional bail. Malabari is suspected to have escaped from the country.

Commissioner said that he has sent a letter to the CBI about 15 days ago in this regard.

It is recalled that, Mangalore CCB police had arrested Malbari in 2009 on the charges of planning to eliminate some of BJP and Hindu organizations leaders and was shifted to Bellary prison from Mangalore and later to Parappana Agrahara Prison in Bangalore.
