Kasargod : Two people were killed in an accident after a over speeding private bus rammed over their motor bikes at Seethangoli on October 14, Tuesday.
The deceased have been identified as Abdul Nasar (36), a resident of Nellikunje CTM and Mohammed Kunhi alias Podia (42), resident of Puthige. Abdul Nasar’s son Naufal (4) and Irshad (35) were severely injured and were admitted to the hospital in Mangalore.
It is learnt that, Abdul Nasar and his son were riding on a Yamaha bike and Mohammed Kunhi and Irshad were riding on a Honda Activa scooter, when they were rammed by an over speeding a private bus named ZMT plying from Kasargod towards Seethangoli after hitting a cow.
In the incident Nasar died on the spot while Mohammed passed away on the way to hospital. The motor vehicles were dragged for about 100 meters and were completely damaged in the incident. The gathered crowd pelted stones on the bus damaging the glass and injuring commuters in the bus. Later, they were shifted to Kasargod and Kumble hospitals.
The bus driver and conductor fled from the spot after the incident.
