Mangalore : Renowned wildlife photographer Dr. Krishna Mohan of Moodbidri said that Infosys, Mysore has published his copyrighted photograph in their Dasara programme invitation ‘Ambari – 2014’.
A surgeon by profession Dr. Krishna Mohan, said that he had clicked the photograph during the Dasara festival procession in Moodbidri on September 26, 2009.
Dr. Mohan said that he written a letter to Infosys, Mysore since it was a issue as a gross copy right violation since they have carried his photograph on the ‘fire breathing tiger’ by discoloring it without any reference or credit. He had previously published his photo on his blog http://www.drkrishi.com/fire-breathing-tiger.
Dr. Mohan said that the material is an infringement of copyright to do any of the acts comprised in the copyright without the permission of the copyright owner.
He demanded the company remove the photograph immediately or pay him a compensation of Rs.75,000 for using his photograph. The Infosys, Mysore has not yet responded to his letter he added.
