Mangalore : A 21-year old Catholic girl who had entered into wedlock on October 16, with a boy belonging to the Hindu religion, returned back to her home on the fourth day of their marriage.
The girl identified as Sonia D’Souza from Yelyarpadavu, had married Konaje resident Roshan M.S in the presence of leaders of Hindu activists at Arya Samaj on October 16.
It is learnt that, Sonia’s mother urged her not to marry him but, Sonia had pledged to live with Roshan and moved out of the house, to marry Roshan. Later, Sonia’s parents had filed a missing complaint at Konaje police station and Kadri and Konaje police had recorded statements of the bride and bridegroom willing to live with each other.
But unfortunately Sonia fled from the house along with documents on the fourth day of marriage.
In a complaint Sonia’s husband Roshan, stated that they had planned to go for shopping and hence he was getting ready. Meantime, she went with her brother in a car and he came to know about the detail through the CCTV, placed next to his house.
Roshan said that if such would happen then he would not marry her. Further he would consult a lawyer to take legal action against her.
However, Sonia also filed a complaint against Roshan stating that Roshan and his friends had forced her to marry him.
