Bantwal : In a bid to overtake, a speeding bus collided into a car critically injuring five persons of one family at Mittur, Vittal on October 26.

Reportedly, Chevrolet car was on its way from Mangalore to Puttur, when it collided with a KSRTC bus plying from Puttur to Mangalore.

The driver of the car have said to be killed on the spot and injured were taken into a nearby private hospital for treatment.

According to police, there were injuries in the bus and driver and the conductor of the bus were carried to the hospital at Puttur due to injuries.

The identity of deceased and the injured in the car are not yet ascertained.
