Mangaluru : The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) celebrated its golden jubilee with a blood donation camp to remember the 24th anniversary of the firing on Karasevaks at Ayodhya here on Sunday, Nov 2.
The camp was organized by , Bajarangdal at Sharada Vidyalaya, the organizers intends to collect over one lakh units of blood from across the country.
D. Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala, inaugurated the drive. He iterated that donation of blood was for the needy without discrimination of religion, caste, class.
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel condemned the State Government for attempting to crackdown on activists of the organisation. Referring to the arrest of Manoj Thokur, a member of the Hindu Jagrana Vedike, under the Goonda Act, Mr. Nalin said, “There is politics of hate here. Hindu activists who are working to save our culture are being arrested. If this continues we will initiate protests against the state.”
Sanga Chalak Dr P Vaman Shenoy, chairman of Panama Corporations Vivekraj , president of Credai Pushparaj Jain , Jagadish Shenava and others were present on this occasion.
