Mangalore : Former city president of BJP, Sathish Prabhu was tensed due to the incomplete national song Vande Mataram sung by the woman who volunteered the special programme organized to felicitated Anwar Manippady, who recently took over as the chairman of the Minorities Commission.
Sathish Prabhu who was furious when nobody paid heed to his demands that Vande Mataram should be sung completely and he just walked out of the function.
Later, he said that the national song was not sung completely because 80 percent of the party workers in the audience were Muslims. He asked to know whether the BJP has started Congress party’s policy of appeasing Muslims.
BJP City Unit President Shrikhar Prabhu said that the song was not sung completely because of poor organization and the woman who volunteered to sing it did not know Vande Mataram completely and stopped halfway.
Manipaddy said that he was not happy over the incomplete singing of the song and the organizers should have taken care of details.
The dignitaries on the dais were Shrikar Prabhu, the city president of BJP, Corporator Sudhir Shetty, Salim Ambagilu, the member of the state Hajj Committee, Usman, the president of the District Wakf Board, Rahim Uchchil, the leader of the BJP Minority Cell and others present.
