Mangaluru: Just before the arrival of Health Minister U T Khader and Medical Education Minister Dr Sharan Prakash Patil, a fire broke out in the CT scan room of the Wenlock Hospital in Mangaluru on Friday around 11. 30.

It is said, due to short circuit in air conditioner wiring a fire flame broke out. The safety officers of the hospital extinguished the fire soon after the incident and no major damages were reported. A fire service Vehicle also rushed to the spot.

Khader and Dr Patil arrived at the hospital after 15 minutes of the incident and interacted with the staff, superintendent and other officials of the hospital.

After inspecting the CT scan room, Minister directed the officials to repair the damages at the earliest.

District Surgeon at Wenlock Hospital Rajeshwari Devi said it is informed to the Company representatives of CT scan Machine to see if the machine has been affected.
