Bengaluru : The 51st Additional City Civil and Sessions Court here has dismissed the Criminal Investigation Department’s (CID) petition to cancel the anticipatory bail granted to Raghaveshwara Bharathi, the head of Ramachandrapura Math in Shivamogga district, who has been accused of raping a woman devotee.
The CID sought the cancellation of bail, contending that the seer was not co-operating with it in the medical examination, which was primarily required for investigation into the rape charge. But the court turned down the petition on Monday.
