Mangaluru : The Tulu film ‘Soombe’ released 12 in theaters Mangaluru and Udupi on Friday March 13. In a formal function held at Jyothi theatre in Mangaluru, Roy Castelino, the president of Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy launched the film by lighting the lamp.
After launching the ceremony Roy Castelino said that, Tulu cinema industries now proving that here we can make success in good movies comes to theaters, people also watching good movies. Artist can make their living through Tulu movies. He wished this movie should run more than 100 days.
Lead actor of the movie Rahul, Shritama Mukherjee, heroine, Director Saikrishna Kudla, Producer Kishore Kottari, Ashwith Kottari, Producer Shwetha, music director Edberg Dilone, Prasanna Shetty Bailuru, Umanath Kotian, Chaali Polilu movie producer Prakash Pandeshwar, Navin D Padil, Divakar Shetty, Jagannath Bala, Arvind Bolar, Karnur Mohan and others were also present .
The film is now showcasing in Jyothi theatre, PVR, Cinepolis and Big Cinemas in Mangaluru; Radhika theatre and Planet theatres in Karkala, and also in theatres of Udupi, BC Road, Puttur, Manipal, Moodbidri and Beltangady.
Soombe
Soombe is entertaining audience with a full swing in theaters. Film director Saikrishna made good effort to create this movie in every angle. After his first movie in Kannada Soombe is second movie released in big screen. The dialogue and camera sence work out is the plus point to movie successes. Collaborating Kannada actors and tulu lead artists another advantage to boost up the film.
There are five songs in the film, sung by Gurukiran, Rajesh Krishnan, Jogi Suneetha, Supriya Lohith, Vismay Vinayak and Dhananjay Verma. Devdas Kapikad has lent his voice for the first time. The score is given by Edberg Dilon and lyrics is by Shashiraj Kavoor.
Choreography is made by Madan Harini, Dev Sampath and Sada Master. Sujith Nayak has done the editing and Kaurav Venkatesh has directed the stunts. The film has been shot in 38 days in various locations in Mangaluru, Saklaleshpur and Bengaluru.
The total budget of the film is Rs 1 crore and is produced by Shwetha Kishor, Kishor Kottari and his three brothers Hemanth Kottari, Anith Kottrari and Ashwith Kottari, he said. Director Saikrishna himself has written the story, screenplay and dialogues.
Mangaluru lad Rahul and Mumbai girl Srithama Mukharjee play the lead. Also, Devdas Kapikad, Navin D Padil, Bhojraj Vamanjoor, Arvind Bolar and Kannada actors Bullet Prakash, Biradar form the cast. Diamond star Shrinagara Kitty makes guest appearance.
