Mangaluru : MCC officials razed down several illegal petty shops on the foothpaths from State Bank to Lady Goschen Hospital in the city on March 17, Tuesday.
Nearly eight unlicenced shops and three vehicles selling fast foods were also removed from the area. The petty shops were operating on footpaths and barricade the movement of pedestrians.
The MCC had intimated the petty shopkeepers to vacate on March 16. As per guidance of Rajiv Mogaveer, Deputy Revenue Commissioner on Tuesday the civic body conducted operation.
Health Inspector Bharath Kumar, Assistant Revenue Officer Vijay and others were part of the eviction drive.
