Udupi : Shivashankar B Amaranna  Judge of Udupi District and Sessions Court has granted bail to the five main accused in the murder case of rowdy sheeter Pitty Nagesh on April 23.

The gang of rowdy Vinod Shettigar was murdered Pitty Nagesh on September 11, 2014 near Halima Sabju Auditorium in Udyavar. The five accused who are said to be members of Shettigar’s gang were waiting for an opportunity to take revenge against Nagesh.

The Udupi police had arrested the five on the very next day and were sent behind bars for seven months. All five, who are residents of Udupi, have criminal cases against them.

While Munna, Guruprasad Shetty and Vishwanath Shetty were granted bail on April 23 by Judge Shivashankar B Amaranna, the other two accused Santosh Poojary and Zakir Hussain were granted bail long ago by the High Court. Senior advocate M Shantaram Shetty is the defence lawyer.
