Mangaluru : The members of district BJP party staged a protest in front of the DC’s office here condemning the rule of State Congress government on Saturday, June 27.
Speaking on the occasion MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said that Congress government on various counts, the law and order situation in the state has collapsed. Several suicide cases by farmers continued across Karnataka, he condemned.
“The government, ever since coming to power, has utterly failed to get fair price to the farmers for their agri products. More than Rs. 1,000 crore is due to farmers for the 2013-14 crushing season” he added.
Further he said, it has become deaf to the cries of farmers. Even though farmers committed suicide, the CM has no time to visit their families, but people who are involved in cow slaughter are given more than 10 lakhs compensation, so called popular government is hitting headlines for all the controversies it is involved in.
He said that, when the opposition parties questioned the need for holding Monsoon legislature session in Belagavi as well as Bengaluru, CM Siddaramaiah reportedly said that he need not listen to opposition parties,” MP added.
Former MLC Monappa Bhandary, District BJP president Pratap Simha, BJP leaders and corporators were present.
