Mangaluru : Another film for Tulu cinema buffs would shortly hit the screens with Eregla Panodchi (Don’t tell anyone), directed by Kodlu Ramakrishna, reaching the final stages of production.
The story revolves the around day-to-day lives of four middle-class housewives living in a vatara (row houses), which can be compared to present-day happenings.
The housewives, who have been residing in rented houses of the vatara, have a strong urge to own their own houses; but their husbands continue to be indifferent to their desire.
At this juncture there enters a social worker in the vatara who nurtures the ambitions of these housewives to own a house. Filled with comedy, the film will keep the viewers engaged, said Mr. Ramakrishna in a release.
Songs have been shot on various beaches of the Karnataka coast even as the film also features Yakshagana performance. The film cast include Shivadhwaj, Sandeep Shetty, Neetoo, Anitha Bhat, Ila Vitla, Raksha Pai, Shobha Rai, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Aravind Bolar, Sundar Rai Mandara, Ravi Surathkal, Pradeep Alva, Roopa Varkadi, Kavitha Rai, Shashidhar Bellaya, Tamma Lakshmana, Rajgopal Josh and others.
While Mr. Ramakrishna is directing the film and has written the screenplay, B.L. Murali and S.K. Shetty are the producers.
