Mangaluru : Any campaign to the successful must be people’s movement. People’s participation with seriousness and belief will give results as a successful campaign so is Swatch Bharath opined environmentalist Abhishek Kumar Sharma.
The 29 years old youth has travelled 11,000 kilometer by cycle and has already visited many educational institutions across 208 districts of 14 states. While he was addressing the students of Besant Women’s College recently he said, proper solid waste management is the need of the hour. Managing waste is a collective effort. The waste has a social economic, psychological and developmental impact. They spread emotional negativity and diseases. An attitude must be developed were one feels responsible about reducing and proper dispossession of waste. He said, the plastic use must be reduced to zero with wise substitution of other bio degradable material this will surely make our country a better one in the view of its citizens and in eyes of foreigners.
Abhishek Kumar Sharma has kicked off a handmade poster campaign on solid waste management. He called for preparing handmade posters and paste them on the walls of colleges, homes and offices. He visited different education institute in the Mangalore. He informed that has a plan of going to different parts of America by cycle in the days to come.
