Kundapur : Over a love failure, a employee under the Karnataka health department put an end to his life. He was working for the last five years, allegedly committed suicide at his quarters at Devalkunda here on Saturday August 15 and the matter came to light, on Sunday August 16.He is the son of ASI Kenchappa and was identified as K. Kiran Kumar (27), who committed suicide over a love failure.

Kiran an, junior health inspector at primary health centre in Devalkunda and an occupant in the government quarters. which was adjecent to Devalkunda primary health centre His body was found hanging in his room.. Kiran is in the health department From 2010 and first served in the Gangolli health centre and for the past a year, he was working as junior health inspector in Devalkunda primary health centre. It is said for the past one year he has developed a liking for a local girl who failed to respond to his love. Disillusioned, August 15 being a holiday he chose to stay in his quarters, an at night hung himself at being rejected by the girl he loved as per reports

On Sunday another health worker wanted a blood test done, and wanted Kiran’s help and called up on his phone, but there was no response. Also, the health worker, called another health assistant at Gangoli who also tried to contact Kiran over his mobile. As there was no response they both came to the quarters and broke open Kiran’s door, to only find him hanging.

Kundapur police visited the spot and registered a case.
