Bantwal : The BJP State president Pralhad Joshi inaugurated the district-level ‘Raitha Chaitanya Yatre,’ at B.C Road here on Friday, September 11.
Speaking after inauguration he said the Congress party had failed on all aspects in terms of administration. The fake assurances and development schemes have become the signpost of the Congress governance in the State.
He said the biased approach followed by discrimination in the attempt to lure the minorities has literally brought down the image of the Congress government.
The bureaucracy is inactive and despotic. The ministers have no control over the officials working under them. It is chaotic and the situation will have its worst ever impact on the governance.
The government has proved disastrous for farmers who are committing suicide en masse. The widows of the farmers are left unattended, he added.
Pointing out that nearly 440 farmers had ended their life in the past three months, the BJP State president criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and questioned his inattentiveness over the tragic scenario that prevails in the State.
The despotic rule of the Congress government is increasing day by day. The unscientific drinking water projects have made many people consume the deadly fluoride-contaminated water across the State, Joshi said.
Alleging that the rift between the chief minister and energy minister has ended up in power crisis, Joshi said that the energy minister was ineffective and incapable of handling the emergency.
He added that the public cannot expect more from the person who himself has gained entry into the Cabinet through illegal means.
He added that although the coal linkages were offered by the BJP government in Maharashtra, the Karnataka government was lackadaisical to utilise it. It has failed to book the line or corridor connections.
Coming down heavily on the energy minister’s remarks blaming nature for the power crisis, Joshi added that the power generated through coal had also reduced by 50 percent. It is the height of irresponsibility.
He said that Congress had only one man to blame for all their wrongdoing, that is Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who in contrast had turned out to be a blessing in disguise for the Congress-led State government.
The Central government has released Rs 60,000 crore under Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana to ensure 24 hours power supply by 2019. The State is also being included under programmes concerning the farmers like soil health card.
Despite these supports, the State government has failed to respond to the needs and grievances of the farmers. He added that Modi is responsible for nearly Rs 20 lakh crore Foreign Direct Investment generated during this year, Joshi added.
Terming the Congress as anti-development, Joshi added that the Congress should be blamed for non-clearance of GST Bill in the Parliament.
Former energy minister Eshwarappa said that the BJP would hold massive protest against the Congress government if it stops power supply to the stages set up for the forthcoming Ganeshotsava celebrations in the State. He alleged that farmers and women were not safe in State, he added.
