Mangaluru: Tulu movie ”Chandi Kori’ produced under  ‘Bolli Movies released across 11 theaters in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts on September 25 Friday.

Ramanath Rai, the district in-charge minister formally  inaugurated the ceremony at Suchithra theater.  

Speaking after inauguration  he  said that the tulu people should support  ‘Chandi Kori’ movie . Devadas Kapikad was a successful actor. He also congratulated the team and wished them success. Tulu films, besides entertaining the mass, should also give good social messages and more and more number of such films should be encouraged by people.

Devdas Kapikad said that the movie was a complete entertainer which was 2 hours 20 minutes long and had 4 songs. He said that the movie would be released in the Gulf countries too.

Arjun Kapikad, the lead actor stated, “The entire cast and crew had worked very hard.”

Film Producer Sanjiv Dandekeri, DK district Working Journalists Association president Jagannath Shetty Bala, Arjun Kapikad and Karishma Amin were present.

The film is released in  Suchitra, Big Cinemas, Cinepolis and PVR in Mangaluru, Kalpana in Udupi, Amarasri in Moodbidri, Nakshatra in B C Road, Aruna in Puttur, Bharat in Beltangadi, Radhika in Karkala and Nataraj in Suratkal.

The film is a combination of romance and humour. The film of two hours and 20 minutes has four songs, out of which some are sung by the director of the film Devdas Kapikad and his son and the lead actor Arjun Kapikad. A song is sung by Madhu Balakrishnan and Apoorva Sridhar. Manikant Kadri has provided the background score.

Karishma Amin is the female protagonist in the film. Navin D Padil, Bhojraj Vamanjoor, Aravind Bolar, Satish Bandale, Gopinath Bhat, Sharmila Kapikad, Sarojini Shetty, Master Kritin and others are in supportive roles.

The story, screenplay, dialogues and the lyrics are by Devdas Kapikad. The film is produced by A S Uppinangadi and Sharmila Kapikand, under the banner Bolli Movies.

For the very first time, Devdas Kapikad has directed and sung in the movie.

The choreographer is Akul, story, lyrics and direction by Devdas Kapikad, Manikanth Kadri has composed music, the cinematography by PL Ravi, editing by Sujith Nayak and stunts by Mass Maadha.
