Mangaluru : Dakshina Kannada district unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday castigated the State government for its alleged failure in good governance and said the government was keen on creating disturbances in the State.
District BJP president K. Pratap Simha Nayak said the government is creating a divide among people by organising Tipu Jayanti, banning astrological foretelling programmes and the like, instead of improving the life of the common man. If the situation continues, the days of the Congress becoming extinct are not far away, he said. Mr. Nayak alleged that expecting good governance has become a blind faith in Karnataka.
While farm suicides continue unabated, the law and order situation has become worse in the State and there has been acute power shortage. The Congress is also plagued with dissidence, he added.
The people have been watching all these , he said in the statement.
