Mangalore: A musical troupe known as Rag Rang, will organize ‘Savi Savi Nenapu’ comprising popular numbers sung by Dr. S. P. Balasubramaniam at Town Hall on Dec 25, Saturday at 6:00 p.m.
The purpose of the event is to raise fund raiser funds for old age homes, orphanages, and AIDS patients. The troupe will present a similar programme at Poornaprajna Auditorium, Udupi, at 6:00 p.m. on Dec 24, Friday.
Sri Rajashekarananda Swamiji of Vajradehi Mutt seer will grace the occasion. Mayor Rajani Dugganna will preside.  District-in-charge Minister J. Krishna Palemar, music director Gurukiran, Corporator Ranganath Kini and Haji H. M. Ashraf, the chief organizer of the taluk Congress Sevadal will be the chief guest.
While in Udupi, Kiran Kumar, the local municipal president, will preside over the event and the chief guests will be MLA Raghupathi Bhat; Latavya Acharya, the Shiroor Mutt Diwan; entrepreneur Pramod Madhwaraj; and Congress leader M. A. Gafoor.
Rag Rang is an organization which manages events such as musical concerts, folk and film dance shows, Bharatnatyam presentations, and other cultural events.
