Bangalore: Governor HR Bharadwaj, acting as the new “angry senior Congressman” from Delhi, as Governor in the South, continued his tirade as a man above politics, against BJP leaders and told CM that he had a list of tainted people in the state and would disclose it to anybody interested.
But neither Dr. G Parameshwara, nor H.D. Kumaraswamy bothered on it. Then the Governor sprang a surprise by telling all concerned that he had shared the list with BJP CM. He was telling reporters who met him today in the Raj Bhawan over a cup of tea.
HRB’s attacks are not a day old, as he has sent 2 letters to CM Yeddyurappa seeking clarifications, without response. When CM wrote back, the Governor was not satisfied with the reply. HRB suspected 3 of the BJP Ministers in Bellary mining scams. The names are well-known to press persons. Yeddyurappa in his replies defended himself like a Caesar’s wife and termed all allegations to the contrary as baseless, infuriating the state head HRB further.
When presspersons queried on the forthcoming rallies on anti-corruption by BJP, which has no clean hands against NDA’s others and UPA units, governor shot back that he only spoke of the list in his hand (of corrupt people in Karnataka govt). The press was speechless.
