Mangaluru: Three persons were killed, one sustained severe injuries after a tempo and tipper collided at Yedapadavu on Tuesday, March 8.

The deceased have been identified as Kallappa (37) from Hubballi, Sonu (35) from Jharkand and Prakash Rao (34) from Mangaluru.

It is said,a speeding goods tempo first hit a bike and then rammed into a Tata Ace which was parked by the side of the road. Kalappa, driver from Hubballi died on the spot while Rajesh was admitted to AJ Hospital and is said to be out of danger.

Brake failure is said to have caused the accident.

The bodies have been sent to Wenlock Hospital.
