Mangaluru : A much awaited tulu movie “Namma Kudla” produced under the banner Kushi Films released at Jyothi Theatre Mangaluru on Friday April 8.

Asare Charitable Trust Chairman Dr Asha Jyothi inaugurated the Movie by lighting the lamp at Jyothi Theatre in Mangaluru.

A procession was organized from Sharvu Mahaganapathy temple to Jyothi Theatre by “Namma Kudla” team early in the morning.

Speaking on the occasion she said that, the movie is released during the auspicious day of Ugadi and Namma Kudla will be a great success in the coastal wood. A woman directed film in coastal wood coming in first time, Tuluvas must support this film and courage enough Ashwini Harish Nayak who is to step in to direct a Tulu movie. she added.

Chairman of Vidyarathna English Medium School Deralakatte, Said that the “Namma Kudla” team promoted Tulu culture and specialness of the Tulunadu, I wish them all successes and best of luck, he said.

Film Producer Lokesh Shetty Machuru, Chandi Koti Producer Sachin Uppinangady, Dombarata Film Producer Rajesh Brahmavar, Actors Gopinath Bhat, Santhosh Shetty, Lakshman Malluru, Lead role Prakash Shetty Dharmanagar, Female Lead Ashwini Harish Nayak and others were Present.

The six songs composed by Gururaj M B have received positive response from the listeners. One of them is the musical instrumental. The background music is by Anbu Selvam. Cinematography is by Basavaraj Hasan while Kumar Gowda assisted him. Editing is done by Harish Nayak.

Namma Kudla The film has been shot in Mangaluru, Bengaluru and Madikeri. A total of 108 artists acted in the film and 95% of them are youngsters.

Laxman Mallur, Gopinath Bhat, Shanthosh Shetty, Sathish Bendale, Dinesh Attavara, Aslam Pasha, Rameshrai Kukkuvalli, Sunil Nelligudde, Prasanna Bailuru, Bachu Adyapady, Sukesh Shetty, Bachu Adyapady, J.P Thuminadu, Skylark Raj, Dayanand Budriya, Sujatha, Vinni Fernandies and others cast in the film.
