Mangaluru: DK district auto drivers committee for protest and Federation of Auto Drivers Union, affiliated to CITU organized a rally and protest to condemn RTO officials in issue of free permit for auto rickshaws in city on Tuesday May 10th 2016.

A Rally was taken from DC office to RTO office and the protest was held in front of RTO itself. Addressing Sunil Kumar Bajal, of CITU urged officials to initiate an enquiry into irregularities in issue of free permit for autorickshaws.

Protestors demanded, facilities for authorised autostands in the city should come up, and stated that presently they are undergoing all kinds of problems from the traffic police.

Also was suggested that Koraga’s who lives in city, should get city limit free permit for their livelihood.

The protestors condemned the hike in rates of gas and RTO inspection for issue of Fitness Certificates presently being done at Kuloor, should be shifted to RTO office in the city .

Yadav Maroli, President, and Lokesh shetty, Genral Secretary, DK District Auto Drivers committee for protest and Lingappa Nanthoor President of Federation of Auto Drivers Union has participated.
