Kasargod: After a brief illness police sniffer dog Teffy died at Wayanad animal protection centre hospital.
The dog was belonging to the Kasargod police.
When the Teffy was five months old it joined the canine-squad in 2004. It replaced Jackie, the earlier sniffer dog and came to its position after Jackie’s death.
Teffy had won many medals for its bravery in the department as it had vital role in tracking the hidden explosives and illegal goods. It also took part in national level meet in Haryana and displayed its talent.
Initially Teffy was brought from Madurai to Trichur dog training centre. Now the strength of canine-squad in Kasargod station has reduced to two after the death of Teffy.
