Mangaluru: As a part of Koti Vraksha Abhiyana, Mangaluru taluk panchayat President Mohammad Monu planted the saplings at Mangaluru taluk panchayat premises on Friday.
Addressing the gathering Mohammadu monu said that planting saplings is a very important programme. He urged the government employees to plant saplings in their home also.
“Koti Vraksha Abhiyana is being implemented in every taluk panchayath and grama panchayath. People also should join hands with this programme,” he said.
Mangaluru taluk panchayat CEO M Gopalkrishna Bhat said that conserving the nature is our duty.
“The government has directed to celebrate Koti Vaksha Abhiyana from July 1 to July 10. This programme will help to maintain the balance of the nature,” he added.
Taluk Assistant Director G Sadananda, Co-Ordinator Rajiv Salian and others were present.
