Kasargod: Bindu, mother of a young pregnant woman, who allegedly converted to Islam and had joined ISIS along with other 17 people from Kerala, met Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan seeking investigation on this matter.
After meeting CM she said that the CM has said that the probe in this case in progress.
“On May 18 I received last call from my daughter Nimisha, during conversation she said that she is going to Sri Lanka on some business, but she didn’t revealed the name of the place from where she was calling even after asking for several times,” she said.
“I tried to stop her, but I couldn’t succeed. Till June 4 I have received messages from her after that there was no contact between us,” she added.
Nimisha had married to a Christian boy named Bexin (32) who later converted as Muslim in 2015 November. There is no much information about how their relationship started.
Opposition Leader in the Kerala state Assembly, Ramesh Chennithala has urged the government to bring the actual facts to the light.
“There is no evidence to prove that all the missing persons have joined IS. According to my knowledge the state and Central agencies have started probe on this matter,” he said.
