Udupi: former union minister S M Krishna opined that the country should join hands with PM Modi for the better future of this county.
After receiving confer from the Paryaya Pejavar Shree Vishweshatheertha Swamiji at Rajangana, Shree Krishna mutt, Udupi on Monday he said that the politics should not be restricted to fighting for the election.
“As Modi has got popularity among the country people and in the world, we should join our hands with him for the better future of this country. Modi has a huge challenge of restoring crumbling values and tackling the role of money in the elections,” he said.
“If Modi gets succeeded in these two challenges, the whole country will hail him,” he added.
Shree Vishweshatheertha Swamiji said that S M Krishna is a devotee of Lord Krishna. Swamiji appreciated S M Krishna for playing a major role in the development of Karnataka.
Junior Swamiji of Pejavar Math, Sri Vishwaprasannateertha and others were present.
When questioned by media people about his opinion on demand for minister, K J George’s resignation, Krishna refused to give any specific response. “I have not closely watched recent developments including suicide cases. Those who run the administration have more information on hand. Everyone has conscience, and people in power should follow their conscience in times like these,” he said.
