Udupi: Former union minister and daughter of Andhra Pradesh’s former CM NTR, Dr Purandeshwari said that ‘Guru vandana’ is a meaningful programme. The one who inspires us to be educated is called as Guru.
After inauguration Guru vandana programme organised by Dasa Saahitya project at paryaya Shri Krishan Math on Monday she said that India has given honour to all the Guru’s by comparing them to the god almighty.
“We are in globalisation era. We followed the ‘Vasudhaivakutumbakam’ rules many years ago only. It is needed to be carried out in future also,” she said.
Speaking on the occasion Pejawara Shree Vishweshatheertha Swamiji said that Lord Krishna is the Guru of the whole world. He taught us how to work to impress god and to achieve Moksha.
“Madhvacharya taught us to surrender ourselves to god. So, this year’s Guru Vandana is dedicated to Lord Krishna and Madhvacharya” he added.
Pejawara Shree inaugurated the free wifi facility provided by BSNL on the occasion.
“High speed internet facility is given to the math. Under the scheme of digital India, internet will be provided under GP level. Half an hour free wifi will be available in a day,” said Mangaluru BSNL Chief Engineer G R Ravi.
