Managaluru: Dalit Sangharsh Samiti held protest march from Ambedkar Circle (Jyothi Circle) to DC Office against the atrocities on Dalit’s and condemning BJP MP’s derogatory statement on BSP Cheif Mayavathi, on Thursday.
Addressing the gathering rationalist Narendra Nayak said that upper caste people need Dalit’s to bury the cattle if it dies. When the beef was consumed by the Dalit’s same people insult Dalit’s and assaults them in the name of ‘Go Rakshana’.
“Some people say that all the Hindu’s are united and there is no intolerance in the community. These atrocities show that how much the upper caste people love lower castes’. Look at India’s situation. Dalit’s and women are treated as animals in India. Women are being harassed by the upper caste people,” he said.
He further said that now no Dalit’s are ready to bury any cattle in Gujarat. Gujarat is stinking because of cattle bodies. The matter is being politicised. Beef is full of proteins. It helps in nutritious growth of children. The people who can’t buy costly meat can buy beef easily.
“Dr Ambedkar gave us the best constitution. He was a Dalit. Present politicians are posing threat to the constitution. By commenting using derogatory words on Mayavathi BJP has proved its notion towards Indian women,” he added.
Devdas, State DSS Organising Committee Member said that MP Dayashankar Singh’s statement has shown how cheap BJP’s mentality towards women is.
“BJP leaders export beef to foreign countries. If the Dalit’s started to raise their voice against these atrocities then upper caste people’s situation will be alike of British’s’. The so called ‘Aarya’ community is the prime reason behind these atrocities. These developments are harmful to the constitution,” he stated.
Congress leader P V Mohan, Gopal Mutthur, Dayananda and others were present.
