Udupi: A letter of assistance amounting Rs 30 lakh was handed over to the Udupi SP Annamalai by the Adani-UPCL Ltd company Executive Director Kishore Alva, on Thursday at Yellur near Padubidri. The amount was given for the upgradation of police stations near the project area and for the welfare of the constables.

SP Annamalai visited the Yellur thermal power plant project at Padubidri and Kishore Alva welcomed him to the project area. He praised SP for his honest service and said that his honesty and works will be carved in peoples mind and nobody will forget what he has done to Udupi.

On behalf of Adani-UPCL 50 helmets and 2 computers were given for the use of constables of Padubidri police station.

Kishore Alva felicitated SP on this occasion and SP Annamalai initiated the programme by planting saplings on both sides of Nandikoor-Shirva main road under the afforestation programme undertaken by Adani-UPCL.

Senior officials of the company, K Laxman, Pravat Kishore Sundar Rey, additional SP, N Vishnuvardhan, and Karkala assistant SP, Dr D P Sumana and others were present.
