Mangalore : Hindu Samajotsava is being organized here on January 2, Sunday at Nehru Maidan under the banner of Sri Hanumad Shakthi Jagaran Samithi to create awareness about Hindu religion among people. According to the organisers, about 1 lakh people will participate in the samajotsava. More than 15 heads of maths are expected to attend the programme. “Shobha Yatre”, a rally, will be taken out from Jyothi Circle to Nehru Maidan as part of the samajotsava.
The preparations are underway in full swing for Hindu Samajotsava with the city colored in saffron flags and buntings all over the roads leading to the venue.
Hindu community from Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and neighboring Kasargod will participate in the religious meet.
The posters, banners and hoarding depicting the religious scenes were erected all over the road in Hampankatta. The raod leading to the venue appeared saffron at all sides.
Hindu leaders like Praveen Bhai Togadia will deliver the key note speech on the occasion.
