Mangaluru: Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Wala inaugurated the Advanced Comprehensive Clinical Training Centre at Yenepoya University, Mangaluru on Saturday.
After inaugurating the programme Governor appreciated the contribution of Yenepoya University to society and the country.
“What we see in foreign countries like modernised research techniques and advancements, all those things are coming to India and Karnataka. The move of the University is appreciable,” he said.
He further said that there are lot of intelligent minds in India. They need better opportunity to explore themselves. If those minds are guided in a proper way then they will the country to feel proud.
“We have seen that 70 per cent rank holders of the Universities are girls. Yenepoya University also gives that chance to every young and inspiring girl to pursue their degree in the University. Girls are more sincere than boys, when the intelligence and sincereness combines together, it will be a unique combination. So, the girls must be given more priority in the field of education,” he added.
Addressing the gathering Yenepoya University Chancellor Abdullah Kunhi said “it is an honour to have the Governor of Karnataka with us today. As we live in an era of technology, the newly inaugurated advanced comprehensive clinical training centre provides easy learning for the students. We want to bring out the best from the students, so that they can achieve more in the field of medicine,” he stated.
Minister for forest and environment and district in charge minister of Dakshina Kannada, Ramanath Rai, Minister for food and civic supplies, U T Khader, MLAs Abhayachandra Jain, Moideen Bava, J R Lobo, VC of Nitte University Vinay Hegde, DC of Dakshina Kannada A B Ibrahim were present on the occasion.
