Mangaluru: Akhila Bharata Tulu Okkuta urged the police to conduct strict investigation on cinema piracy.

Addressing the press meet at Mangaluru Press Club on Monday Okkuta member Taranatha Shetty Bolar said that cinema piracy has affected Tulu movies also. Upcoming Tulu movie ‘Dabak Daba Aisa’ movie copies have been pirated before the release date.

“This development has created a fear in producers. We are happy to say that Tulu film industry is developing very quickly. But the piracy matter has been a hurdle in between the speed,” he said.

He further said that police should take strict action against those cyber and mobile shops who sell pirated copies. Entire Tulu movie fans condemn the development.

“Police should take the matter seriously. No compromise should be done by the police in this matter,” he added.
