Puttur: A bike rider was about to looted by a gang of 6 highway robbers, but riders alertness made him to catch three robbers when other three fled, on Saturday late night.

Kareem, who works in a bakery in Uppinangady is the injured person. After a while police nabbed other three also.

Pradeep, Gowtham, Nagesh, Shivaram, Dinesh and Sanju Kumar are the arrested gang members. It is reported that these robbers belong to a professional gang and they had many cases on them earlier also.

The incident took place at Bedrodi. A group of youth saw Kareem, who was being robbed by the gang with lethal weapons. But without hesitating they came to the rescue of Kareem and caught three robbers.

Later, other three who fled from the spot were also arrested by the police along with a Toyota vehicle.
