Chikkamagaluru: Chikkamagaluru SP Annamalai has warned the right wing activists not to take law into their hands by claiming themselves as Gorakshaks. He also warned to take strict actions against such activities without any sort of hesitation.
Addressing the media persons at his office on Monday he said that no assaultson anybody will be tolerated.
“If someone is trafficking cattle illegally then it should be reported to the police first. The necessary action will be taken by the police. Nobody is allowed to take the law in their hands,” he said.
Commenting on the attacks on Assam labours by accusing them as the Bangladeshi terrorists he said that many people migrate from Assam and Bengal to work in the coffee plantations. Plantation owners should verify the identity of such workers before hiring them.
“Janasamparka sabhe will be held to fill the gap between the police and public. So the people will gain confidence on the police department. Drug awareness campaign will be held to spread awareness among people in coming days,” he added.
