Mangaluru: Valedictory ceremony of Beary language training programme was held at Mangaluru police commissioner office, on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion Commissioner Chandra Sekhar said that basic information about Beary language has been given to the police personnel. Police should utilise this language wherever necessary.
“I studied my school and college education in Chennai and West Bengal, but I learnt Kannada also. This has helped me a lot during my service,” he said.
It was a thirteen days training programme and 31 police personnel had trained during the time. Some of the trained officials expressed their thoughts in Beary language itself.
DC Shantharaju, DCP Dr Sanjeev Patil, trainers Muhammad Baddur, A K Kukkila and others were present.
