Mangaluru: A government employee’s bosy was found dead in PWD quarters at Bondel, on Thursday. He was working in Commercial tax department.

Ganesh Prasad (45) is the deceased person; he was a first division assistant in commercial tax office.

According to the sources Ganesh’s wife had divorced him due to his alcoholic addiction. From last four years he was staying in the quarters all alone.

When the neighbours sensed a foul smell from his room, the incident came to light. Due to intoxication he might have fallen on the floor and hurt his head and because of heavy blood loss or severe head injuries he might have died, said sources. His neighbours immediately informed the police.

The body was partially decomposed and which led to doubt that he might have died on August 7, Sunday.

The body has been sent for post-mortem and Kavoor police have registered a case.
