Mangaluru: District BJP staged protest against anti-India slogans shouted at Amnesty International and assaults on ABVP members by the police during the protest, in front of DC Office on Wednesday.
Addressing the gathering MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik said that strict action should be taken on those people who have shouted anti-India slogans and Amnesty International.
“People who shouted slogans should be arrested immediately and merciless action should be taken on them. First of all we need to investigate the fund sources of Amnesty International. Many powerful politicians’ children are studying in Amnesty International, and they are saving the organisation,” he said.
Commenting on Ramya’s statement on Pakistan, he said that Ramya should apologise with the people for giving such a foolish statement. Being a former MP this type of statements doesn’t suit her.
“Instead of praising the dedicated soldiers of India, she is praising Pakistan for treating her well during her visit. Some wants to get publicity by doing such gimmicks. This statement is given just for the sake of publicity,” he added.
BJP Leader Monappa Bhandary said that ABVP members were lathi-charged by the police for protesting against Amnesty international. Instead of oppressing ABVP members police should nab the traitors who shouted anti-India slogans.
District Bjp president Sanjeev Matandoor, Roopa D Bangera, Rahim Uchil, Yogish Bhat and others were present.
