Mangaluru: “As the youth of Mangaluru city are migrating to Bengaluru, Mumbai and abroad in search of job opportunity, it is decided to organise ‘A day out in Mangaluru’, an investors’ meet at Bengaluru,” said MLA J R Lobo.
Speaking to the media personnel on Friday at district Congress office, he said that youth should serve for their country and to their respective city. Migrating to other cities or countries for jobs is not a good development.
“So, to create more employment in the city, the government has planned to hold a day’s seminar in Bengaluru for the investors, so that they may invest their money here in Mangaluru also,” he said.
He further said that due to various reasons, last investors meet held in Mangaluru didn’t yield much. As long as connectivity is concerned Mangaluru is one of the best cities, in terms of connection. Mangaluru also have basic infrastructures which are needed to invest the money.
“The government has agreed for this seminar after holding talks. In the seminar we will explain about the potentiality of Mangaluru and try to attract them to invest here. Reason behind holding this seminar at Bengaluru is to make the investors’ more comfortable to attend the meet,” he added.
MUDA Chairman Ibrahim Kodijal and others were present.
