Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada district police, RTO, division of public instruction and the department of revenue in a joint operation will begin examining school vehicles from August 27 considering the safety of school kids.

At first, all the school vehicles in Puttur and Bantwal taluk will be inspected. The school administrations in Puttur have been requested to bring their school vehicles and those hired by them to Thenkila Vivekananda school grounds, Puttur, on August 27 at 3 pm.

All school vehicles and those on contract in Bantwal taluk are to be brought to Modankapu Infant Jesus school ground on August 28 at 10 am.

The vehicle owners have been requested to produce all the important documents pertaining to the vehicle including driver license during the inspection.
