Padubidri: “UPCL’s many problems have been tackled intelligently by Adani group. Previous companies like Nagarjun and LANCO had done many damage to the district, but Adani group has stood above all allegations,” said Jaya Sri Krishna environmentalists’ committee President Thonse Jayakrishna.

After visiting many units of UPCL under Udaan programme, on Thursday he said that Udupi is the third district in India to have FGD.

“People grow vegetables and jasmine inside the project area also. 100% flying ash is being transported to various cement factories. Adaani group has understood the problems of this area and it is working towards overcoming all the problems,” he said.

Speaking on the occasion UPCL Managing Director Kishore Alva said that Adaani group is ready for the protection of environment. Company is collecting the necessary data’s, and those data’s will be published in company’s website also.

UPCL DGM Sudarshan Prasad, AGM Girish Navada, Manager Ravi Jeere and others were present.
