Mangaluru: An undertrial jail inmate died due to heart attack at district prison, Mangaluru on Tuesday.

Babu alias Mabu (60) of Karkala’s Hosmaru is the deceased person. He had been admitted to Wenlock hospital previously also.

Tuesday also he was suffering from heart pain and staffs rushed to the Wenlock hospital, but doctor proclaimed him brought dead.

He was accused of a murder case at Moodabidiri. He was homed in district prison on September 1, 2015 upon receiving order from district sessions court.

He was on medication due to the heart ailment.
