Mangaluru: Devaraj Urs award winner BA Moideen was felicitated at Mangaluru Town hall on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion health Minister Ramesh Kumar said that BA Moideen is like his brother and sister-in-law. Because, he has lot of respect towards them as well as, BA Moideen.
“BA Moideen was an honest politician. He has rightfully taken that award. Some people try to get awards by paying money to the organisers. Some organisers present the award for their benefit. But, here neither the presenter nor receiver has the benefit. Award was presented to a deserved person from deserved organisers,” he said.
He urged the people of DK not to shed blood in the name of religion, instead of that the religio should be the light of the society.
District in-charge Minister Ramanath Rai said that one felicitation to an honest person will help to increase the number of honest peoples’.
Dinesh Amin Mattu, CM’s media advisor said that DK people have a strange mentality. Hundreds of people has gathered here, if the same support would had given to BA Moideen before twenty years ago, then the district would have been developed more.
“Some people in Muslim community don’t accept a successful leader sometimes. But, BA Moideen did a great job by including Muslim community people along with his work. It is an injustice to BA Moideen, he should have been felicitated many years ago, but it wasn’t happened,” he added.
