Udupi: “Discussions will be held with leaders and education minister to include Narayana Guru’s message and life history in the text books,” said district in-charge Minister Pramod Madhwaraj.

He was addressing the gathering in Brahmashree Narayana Guru 162 birth anniversary celebration programme, organised by district administration, ZP and Kannada and culture department, on Friday.

“Narayana Guru stands at the top in the list of spreading humanity in society through religion. If we followed his thoughts and principles, then we can create a heaven here in earth,” he said.

Hiriyadka Govt PU College lecturer Nalini Pramod delivered a seminar on Narayana Guru.

“Narayana Guru eradicated misbelieves from the society. He was the pioneer in eradicating the anti-social elements,” she said.

DC T Venkatesh, MLC Kota Shrinivas Poojary, ZP CEO Priyanka Mary Francis, ZP President Dinakar babu, Tahashildar Maheshchandra and others were present.
