Mangaluru: The prime accused of RTI activist Vinayak Baliga murder, Naresh Shenoy has been released from the district prison on Monday.
Upon getting a conditional bail from the high court on September 15, he was released from the jail.
Naresh Shenoy had to wait for four days for his release, as the order copy of the court’s verdict haven’t reached jail authorities and the legal procedures thereafter also consumed time.
According to the conditions of the bail Shenoy should provide a bond of Rs 2 lakh along with two securities and should not destroy any evidences related to the case.
RTI activist Vinayak Baliga was hacked to death on March 21 and Naresh Shenoy is said to be the master mind behind the crime.
