Subrahmanya: Police on Wednesday nabbed a staff of Subrahmanya temple in connection with a theft case in the temple.

Halkure Gwda is the arrested person. He has been arrested him for stealing money from the temple.

On September 15, temple staffs were counting the money collected and Halkure’s behavior was unusual. When the money counting process was observed in CCTV camera, it id found that Halkure was filling his pant pockets with money for four times.

Temple CEO had registered a complaint regarding this and police have arrested the accused after six days.

When police interrogated the accused, he has admitted his fault and police have recovered Rs 33,300 cash from Halkure’s house.

Subrahmanya SI Gopal, ASI Chandappa, staff Chandrashekhar U, Sandhyamani and others have taken part in the possession.
