Moodabidiri: A man was murdered by his wife and her illicit lover and was thrown into the well, at Kukkudakatte, Moodukonaje.

Jayaraj (26) is the deceased person. He was a resident of Uppinangady.

As per the details, Jayaraj had come to his wife’s home on September 16. This information was passed to his wife’s illicit lover Anand by his wife itself.

Later Anand murdered Jayaraj by hitting on his head using an iron rod and then his body was thrown in a nearby well. A huge stone was tied to his body, so that the body will not be floating.

A missing complaint of Jayaraj was registered in Moodabidiri police station. During the investigation, police found that Jayaraj was murdered.

The accused Anand was arrested by the police on Saturday and he was taken near the well, where the body of Jayaraj was thrown.

Swimmers tried to bring the body out of the well, but as the stone which was tied to the body was too heavy, they struggled a lot.
