Mangaluru: “There is a need of forming a health policy for the senior citizens and proper guidance should be given to take care of their health. Discussions will be held with state health minister regarding this matter,” said state food and civil supplies Minister U T Khader.
He was addressing the gathering after inaugurating the world elders’ day at ZP Netravati hall organized by ZP, women and children empowerment department, handicapped and senior citizens empowerment department, on Saturday.
“The present generation should follow the footprints of our elders. Due to the eradication of joint family from the society, present young generation is losing many things. Elders life style and ideologies are the wealth of this nation,” he said.
