Karkala: In a tragic accident which took place at Lamina near Nitte cross on Wednesday, mother and son lost their life on the spot.

Shalet (45) and her son Winson (20) are the deceased persons. They war travelling in a car while a truck hit their car claiming life of two. Winson was driving the car during the accident.

Car was plying towards Karkala and the lorry which was coming from the opposite side of the car hit the car from the front and due to head on collision both breathed their last on the spot.

Truck driver tried escape from the spot, but later surrendered to the police.

Karkala police have arrived at the spot and conducting the investigation.
